Wrapping Up the Big Stuff

Within the last week, we have been quickly finishing up the big stuff in the house. Dad installed a door in the basement to close off the "shop" area from the "sitting" area:

Dad fixed up the little housing around the electrical box:

And he also finished installing all ceiling tiles. What a difference that made!

Dad patched up some funky spots in the basement office:

And he installed CARPET on the basement steps! YAY!!! It looks sooo much better!

Chad and I painted the new door jamb and the spots Dad touched up:

We bought a new globe for the light fixture Dad installed in the basement stairwell:

I painted the windows in the upstairs bedrooms (sorry, no pictures to share), and we started cleaning up around the house in preparation for tomorrow's official cleaning day!!! Oh, actually, since it is now after midnight, I guess the official cleaning day is TODAY! It is finally here!! At long last, we will be spending the better part of this next day cleaning and polishing at the flip house. It has been a long time in coming, but it is thankfully here! Chad and I spent part of this evening clearing out tools and items in the house that we no longer need, and we did some sweeping and ShopVac'ing around the house. It is already starting to look better. Take a look for yourself!

We tidied up downstairs as well, but for some reason, I didn't take any pictures of that. So, you will have to wait until the next update to see the "all clean" pictures! Mom and I will be busy cleaning from top to bottom tomorrow. I am really looking forward to the day, even though I know we will be dirty and tired when we are done...:) Happy Cleaning!
