More In the Basement

Just a few pics to show off the new ceiling in the basement bathroom, along with the new door to the furnace area. The electrician is coming on Thursday this week to install the light/fan and vanity light in the bathroom, so for now, the bathroom is a little bit dark. Also, when the flash goes off on my camera, it makes the blue look a little bit bolder.

Per city code, we need to have a door allowing access to the front of the furnace. Currently, there is a door with access to the side of the furnace, but not the front. So we installed a door at the front so we are up to code and will not get dinged by an inspection!

Dad will be here tomorrow for another couple of days of work, and Chad and I will be busy during the weeknights and weekend working to get the paneling in the basement painted as well as the window jambs in the main floor bedrooms. Those windows are a work in progress..they are pretty gunked up by old paint and residue from masking tape that was left behind by the previous owners. Bring on the Goo Gone! :)
